Welcome to graduate studies in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manitoba.
By pursuing a graduate degree, students can deepen their knowledge of computer science beyond the skills and techniques acquired through an undergraduate degree, and explore more specialized and advanced topics. Graduate studies also provide students with a unique opportunity to engage in compelling and state-of-the-art research under the guidance of a faculty advisor. For information on the types of research being conducted in the Department of Computer Science, please consult our Research Section.
We offer a range of programs, including two Master's options (thesis and coursework) and a Ph.D program. The department currently has approximately 25 Ph.D. student and 50 M.Sc. students registered. Please see the following for details on our programs, application procedures and funding opportunities.
Located in one of the cultural capitals of Canada, the University of Manitoba is a great place to live and study (information on Life in Winnipeg). The U of M also has an International Centre for Students.
